Restoration (Repair Specialists)

Automotive/Marine/Industrial/Home/Other

This is a particularly easy and extremely versatile system for restoration shops or repair specialists who travel with their equipment and tools. Color mixing is easy. Just mix the different base colors to get the color you want. If you want to buy just a few of the different base colors and not the full set of 12 base colors and the clear base that we manufacture we can supply you with the specific base colors that you want and you can mix and match your own colors by eye.

If you are experienced in color matching and used to working with concentrated tints you can just buy the 5 major concentrated tints such as cyan, blue, yellow, black, white and the clear base from us. The total amount of different concentrated tints that can be added to the clear base must not exceed more than 9%. Optimal amount of concentrated tints to get any color is 7.5% to 9%. The beauty of our system is that the same concentrated tints are used in VariKote, LeatherKote, VariBond and RubberBond.

None of our products require you to add primers, flex agents or additives to them. All our products dry very quickly, which means that you can do almost any job on site and finish it the same day or even within 15 minutes (depending on size of job) and move on to the next job quickly.

You can also buy a special matting agent and a high gloss clear and provide your customers with a flat, satin or glossy finish. We also have different types of pearl top coats and can show you how to work with interference colors.

If using solvent based dyes or paints
For coloring vinyl, soft plastics and carpets we recommend using VariKote
For coloring leather we recommend LeatherKote.
When coloring hard plastics including polypropylene, TPO, EPDM or other hard to diagnose plastics we recommend spraying the adhesion promoter Plastikprep and then spraying VariBond to provide the final color and finish.
You can also color metal surfaces such as aluminum, steel etc., which have already been primed with VariBond. In most cases VariBond will bond to these surfaces even without a primer.
When coloring rubberized surfaces we suggest RubberBond.

If using Waterborne dyes or paints
For coloring vinyl, leather, rubber surfaces and most plastics we recommend using WB Varikolor. (Please test on a small corner to make sure that WB Varikolor is bonding to the rubber and plastic surfaces).
When coloring hard plastics including polypropylene, TPO, EPDM or other hard to diagnose plastics we recommend spraying the adhesion promoter Plastikprep and then spraying WB Varikolor or WB Acrukolor to provide the final color and finish.
For coloring metal surfaces such as aluminum, steel etc., we recommend spraying the adhesion promoter WB Primer then WB Varikolor or WB Acrukolor.

None of our products contain cadmium, zinc, formaldehyde or isocyanates.
